A proper alignment is key to a smooth ride, long lasting tire life, and improved fuel mileage. But what is an alignment and are they all equal?
Simply put, an alignment is an adjustment of your vehicle’s suspension so that the tires make an even contact patch with the ground and the car drives straight. There are three main measurements when referring to an alignment - camber, caster, and toe. However, there are other measurements that are also considered when performing a full, four-wheel alignment such as: thrust angle, included angle and steering axis inclination.
Not every alignment is made equal. Alignments depend on the skill of the technician, the accuracy of the alignment rack used, and the determination of the technician to make the alignment match factory standards. At Essential Auto Care, our ASE Certified technicians don’t stop at “good enough” and our Hunter Engineering Hawk Eye Elite alignment rack is more accurate than comparable racks. We employ the best aligner in the business. Every great craftsman needs great tools and we provide only the best for our clients!
